Room 22 make Paper Hats.

In Room 22 we have been learning about different types of celebrations.

Often people wear fun hats to parties and celebrations.

We made some party hats to wear.

We all got one piece of paper.
We had to fold it in half and then in quarter.

Then we had to make two triangles.
Theo is showing Jamie how to do this.

Then we had to fold the long rectangle part up to make it stay together.

This part was fun. We got to decorate it anyway we wanted to.

We had a lot of fun making our party hats.

What Happened at the Working Bee?

Room 22 and Room 23 went for a walk to see how Sunnyhills had changed after the working bee.
Here are the exciting things that we spotted.

 Wow, the parents were busy painting and building!

We think it looks amazing.

How will the Gardens Change???

Room 22 and Room 23's adventure into the Sunnyhills Garden

Mrs Driver set us all a challenge.  She asked us to go and look at the Sunnyhills Garden so that we could see how it would change in the weekend.

These are some of the things we saw on our adventure.

This is a special plant nursery where native plants are growing.

Some of the garden beds had Beans in them.

The bees will love these Lavender.

The caterpillars love the swan plants.

 We are excited to go and see the garden early next week. 

We can't wait to see how many exciting things have changed after the Sunnyhills Working Bee.

Ruby's Certificate

Ruby was very proud to receive the certificate this week.  Ruby is a great role model.  She always starts her work quickly and presents it nicely.

Linda and Lucas have been working hard in Room 22.

Lucas has been diligently learning his words.

Linda has been trying super hard to write her own stories.

We are proud of both of their successes!

Room 22’s Water Experiment.

What to do:

• Full up some gloves with water
• Tie up the top
• Put it in the freezer

What will happen??????

This is what happened

• The glove turned into ice.
• It turned into an icy hand.
• Frozen hands

• The hand felt cold and it melted in our hands.

• Two of the gloves turned into a funny shape.
• The ice melts when you touch it later.

• Some of the ice shattered when Taylor threw it.
